The Pomona Music booster is the cornerstone of the success of the Pomona High School Band. An incorporated organization, the Pomona Music Boosters received federal tax status in 1986. Originally designed as a fundraising organization for trips, the Music Boosters now supports the entire band program which includes awarding over $14,000.00 in scholarships to graduating seniors. Its goal is to provide each student in the band program with the best opportunity to be successful.
However, the boosters provide much more than money. They give their time and energy to every student in the program. They volunteer as bus sponsors and trip sponsors, and for uniform fitting and maintenance, flag cutting and sewing, prop design and building, painting, equipment truck loading, meal preparation and as absentee parents for all students at all performances and events. They do more than asked before being asked. They are appreciated by all students and staff members. They allow us to do what we do.
