Winter Percussion

Congratulations to the 2008 Pomona Winter Percussion ensemble! 

The Pomona Winter Percussion ensemble finalized their season with a third place finish at the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association's (RMPA) State Championship in Loveland in April. The competed in the PSO Scholastic Marching Open category. This was the first year Pomona participated in the RMPA since taking a three-year hiatus from winter percussion competitions.

Their show was called "Search for the Golden Drum" in anticipation of the summer release of the new Indiana Jones movie and featured exotic drum beats and the "ooga-booga" natives.

Next spring we will be hosting a Super Show.  This is a competition that features both Winter Percussion and Winter Guard.  Stay tuned - there will be more details this fall.  Troy and Jennifer Friar will be the chairpersons for this event.
